Friday 10th to Saturday 18th July A feast of activities!

This year, the Oundle Food Festival has joined with the Oundle International Festival and The Fringe Festival to bring you a day not to be missed!

The Street Market on Saturday 18th July is the centrepiece of the Food Festival, when around 70 stalls will provide an amazing diversity of produce and producers. One of the most popular dates in regional gastronomes’ diaries, the Street Market gathers together those who grow, produce and sell some of the country’s fi nest foods. Stalls, street food as well as street theatre performances will keep your feet tapping and add to the carnival atmosphere.

The line up from The Fringe who will be performing during the day include: Five String Thing, English traditional music and song; A feast of Appalachian dance: Tap and Sync, Oundle; Cricket on the Hearth, Harrogate; Kickstart, Warwick; West Deeping English Cloggers; Rockingham Rapper and Step dancers; Paul Eady Band, traditional English and French song and music.

In the evening it is the turn of the Oundle International Festival to entertain you at their Party at the Wharf. With a fantastic line-up of bands this is the place to picnic with wonderful food from the Street Market and dance the night away with the Los Palmas 6, who are probably the best and most accurate Madness Tribute band in the world; “JACK” with their very special blend of R & B; and local Oundle rock, pop and indie band, Disarray.

The whole day will be rounded off in style with a spectacular laser show! The Food Festival Sponsors, Aga Peterborough, will be running Cookery Demonstrations during the Festival week, and Brewbabu’s Tea Master will be coming to Oundle to talk about the various different teas and tastes. There are some very special Food Festival menus to sample, and to celebrate Oundle International Festival a number of Oundle Restaurants will be open for pre-concert dinners.

Barnwell Country Park will, once again, be putting on their very popular Teddy Bear’s Picnic on Wednesday 15th July! Bring your Teddy and join them for a Teddy Bear’s Picnic with lots of fun and games including teddy bear den building, craft activities and storytelling. Photographs by Leigh Guirlando
