After four successful bushcraft courses Ark in Oundle returns with yet another adventure weekend for young people and their parents. The next bushcraft weekend is on the 5th & 6th of July 2014 in the same location as the previous, Dave’s Spring Wood camp. The bushcraft trip
offers parents quality time with their children, learning how to build shelter in the woods, cook on open fi res and even prepare wild food for eating. This trip is for parents and their children aged 8 – 14.

Bushcraft is a great tool for building confi denceand self-esteem in young people. The sense of adventure is within us all and conventional forms of education rarely meet the needs of young people who want to explore and try new things. Bushcraft and survival based activities provide an excellent basis for helping people to understand social skills, team and personal development, as well as environmental issues. Woodland Survival Crafts offers a comprehensive range of bushcraft survival courses designed to educate, challenge and inspire the young people.

Dave Watson’s passion for ancient survival skills, or bushcraft as it has become known, led him to create Woodland Survival Crafts in 1995. Since then, Dave has witnessed the inspiring effects of learning bushcraft on both young and old and he gets immense satisfaction of seeing people overcoming fears, gain confi dence and come to terms with themselves and their abilities.
