A new ‘one-stop shop’ for
everything about your town.
Whether you are looking for a place to eat,
somewhere interesting to visit, or a place to
sleep, Corby and the surrounding area has
a huge range of attractions available to the
visitor.

Now, the local business community, with the
help of seed funding from Corby Borough
Council, has come together to create www.
lovecorby.co.uk, a one-stop-shop that will
promote the many businesses in Corby and
the surrounding villages, to both visitors and
residents alike.

The Corby Visitor Forum has been formed
from the private sector to manage this
funding and spend it to maximum effect.
The website and related marketing of Corby
is run on a not-for-profit basis and the
Forum members are all giving their time free
to promote Corby and the surrounding area.

Business focus

The Love Corby website is all about you
and your business. It works by attracting
visitors to a popular and accessible site
about Corby, and then directing the visitors
to your own business website. It could be
used by any resident looking for a business
or service or a visitor from out of the area
coming to stay here.

The greater the number of businesses that
sign up, the greater the benefit of the site to
all the users and to those that have joined!

The fee for joining the website starts at just
£25 and has been deliberately kept low to
make it affordable. All the fees received will
be ploughed back into promoting the site
and the area.

Upon joining, each business can create a
profile page, with photos, which includes
up to three pictures, 50 words about your
business, telephone, email address and web
address. They will also receive a Welcome
Pack which includes various marketing
material which can be used to promote Love
Corby and encourage customers or clients
to use the website.

There is a section on the website to list
events which could range from a special
evening in your restaurant, a promotional
day in a shop, to an exciting afternoon at the
motor racing.

New sign-ups will have the opportunity to
become the ‘featured business’ on the site
for a period of time and benefit for additional
high profile exposure. The website is
secure and professionally monitored and
mediated – any inappropriate businesses
will be refused access.

In addition to the website, the Corby Visitor
Forum also organise social media activities
on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
These will include featured businesses,
competitions, games, etc. where local
businesses can reach out to existing
followers and connect with new audiences.
In just a few months there are already 30+
businesses signed up and the number is
growing weekly.
