Café Mitchell’s is a new café in Corby’s Indoor Market. The joint venture between husband and wife, Richard and Ann Mitchell, came about when, after nearly 40 years as a plasterer, Richard (‘Mitch’) decided it was time to hand the day-to-day running of his business, RJM Plasterers, over to his sons, Craig and David.

Ideal premises were found at the Indoor Market and Café Mitchell’s opened after a full refurbishment in January. All-day English and Scottish breakfasts, starting at £2.95, are served alongside a wide range of breakfast rolls and freshly filled cold rolls, toasted sandwiches, burgers and hotdogs.

You can order porridge for £1.10 or homemade soup of the day with a roll and butter for £2.25. There is also a range of paninis and omelettes both served with side salads as well as baked potatoes. The children’s menu consists of a choice of nuggets, sausage, burger or fish fingers served with chips and beans and a drink at £3. All food is cooked to order so please be patient during busy times.

Hot food is served until 4.30pm. Daily specials are always on offer and you will find a mouth-watering selection of homemade cakes in the chilled display cabinet. Café Mitchell’s is currently offering a cup of tea or ordinary coffee with a slice of cake at £2.60. Telephone orders for takeaway rolls and sandwiches are taken on 07710 161 933 for collection; in quieter times, orders can be delivered within Corby town centre. As the weather warms up, look out for the new ice cream cabinet!

Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm
