Security fi rms have said anyone using the 13-year-old software would be at increased risk of infection and compromise by cyber-thieves. As of 8th April 2014, if you use Windows XP, you no longer have access to updates and will be exposed to major threats and infections. Users will no longer be able to access online support, and XP’s anti-virus software won’t be updated either. It doesn’t mean that XP will stop working altogether, and many users won’t notice any difference in the way they use their computer. However, there are two main reasons why the withdrawal of support for XP has hit the headlines:

1) the number of users who are affected
2) with no security patches or updates being issued, users are wide open to hacking, identity theft and criminals placing viruses and other software on the computers without their  knowledge.

We urge you to either:

1) Take the computer off the internet and move your fi les to a Windows 7 or 8 computer
2) Upgrade to a new PC
3) Upgrade your current computer
