works in progress, before the final competition
and recording of completed works in our annual
Composers’ Concert on Wednesday 14th March
2018.

Musical
Opportunity
Concert
Wednesday 4th October,
6.15pm
Recital Room, Gascoigne
All welcome, no tickets
required
These concerts popping
up through the year cater
specifically for those who
are not so confident in the public arena, or for
pupils who would benefit from a run through
of repertoire before examinations. Private
atmosphere and supportive audiences needed…

Scholarship Training Day
Thursday 5th October, 11am to 6pm
Gascoigne
Aimed at prospective scholars in Years 7 and 8,
we introduce pupils to Oundle School’s Music
team. We help prepare pupils for the scholarship
process, work with them on their repertoire,
aural tests, sight-reading and on what to expect
from Oundle. A lunchtime concert, Q&A session
for prospective parents and, best of all, a chance
to play along with our Chamber Orchestra or
Jazz Band – an experience that we hope will
inspire and enthuse. Please register your interest

iconic film soundtrack of Brassed Off. We hope

finest cornet/trumpet players. A concert not to

Massed Young Musician’s Day
Friday 13th October, 1.30pm
Venues across the School
Having held individual days for Strings, Brass
and Woodwind, the resounding message from
schools was that attending multiple events was
difficult. Thus we held our first Massed Young
Musicians’ Day last year and are now building
upon this whilst maintaining the specialism of
the instrumental families. Oundle’s Heads of
Instruments, alongside many experienced tutors,
will lead workshops and performances for all
grades, ages and abilities in venues around the
School, working towards a final presentation.
10am registration and rehearsals, 1pm lunch,
please bring your own picnic. Please register
interest by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
