“Boobs & Brass” is a unique brass band consisting of all female musicians who raise funds for charity. Since its formation in 2006, the Northamptonshirebased band has built a network of female players, extending to Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Hertfordshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire, Hampshire and Yorkshire. Many of them having had close relatives or friends suffer from breast cancer, the players all want to be part of this concept and raise funds for Breast Cancer Campaign.

It is their love of music and their willingness to play for pleasure which ensure that “Boobs & Brass” is able to continue to raise funds for this cause, and the band is now renowned for its ‘pink jackets’ among the brass band fraternity. Since their first concert, “Boobs & Brass” members have raised over £100,000 for charity, £84,126.46 of which has been donated to Breast Cancer Campaign. The band hopes to reach its £100,000 target by the end of this year. Why not support them and help to ‘be part of the cure’?

Their seventh annual concert will take place at The Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering on Saturday 17th November at 7.30pm, when the girls are proud to present their special guests, the worldfamous Foden’s Band from Cheshire. The evening promises to be one of quality entertainment of brass band music including the full spectrum from light popular music, both old and new, through operatic, film and light orchestral works, to the serious original brass band music supported by an enviable collection of musicians.

Tickets are £15 each and all proceeds are being donated to Breast Cancer Campaign. You can book from 01536 414141 or online at www.lighthousetheatre.co.uk
