From interior design to fashion
Just over two years after having set up
Asha’s Inspired Living, Barbara Katavich
expands her emporium into fashion. Asha’s
Attire opened in The Bazaar on West Street
in Oundle in October, opposite the original
shop, with the vision of giving customers an
enjoyable shopping experience for easyto-
wear clothing at affordable prices with
excellent customer service.

Barbara’s own passion for beautiful everyday
style with quirky details is refl ected in her
choice of brands stocked in Asha’s Attire.
Sandwich is a Dutch clothing company whose
innovative designs and quality fabrics really
make their clothing stand out from the crowd.
Suzy D is affordable Italian fashion styling at
its best, with outstanding knitwear, jersey and
accessories to give your outfi t the edge on
others. Braintree is an eco clothing company
from Australia, now based in London, with a
simple philosophy to design.

The range is made from sustainable
fi bres such as hemp, bamboo and
organic cotton which are great to wear,
whilst caring for the environment. In
addition, Asha’s Attire stocks a wide
selection of fashion jewellery and fi ne
handcrafted leather bags and purses;
each piece of leather is cut individually
before being handcrafted. An exclusive
range of cashmere hats, gloves, wraps,
sweaters and ponchos, specially made
for Asha’s, is due anytime soon.

Asha’s Inspired Living was set up
in September 2012 and Barbara’s
creative fl are and love for interior
design is apparent within the shop.
She wanted to pass on her experience from
the world of interiors to help customers
create designs in their own homes with the
excellent home wear and accessories on
display, as well as furniture. Taking on the
Annie Sloan Chalk Paints was the natural
next step to enhance the interior spectrum
at Asha’s. The paints were introduced in
July 2013 and, at the same time, Barbara
took on the main distribution for the Annie
Sloan range in this area. Asha’s stocks the
full range of Annie Sloan products, which
can transform furniture into something
breath-taking and wonderful.

Asha’s can help you with your
personal furniture painting project,
with advice and tips at their offi cial
Annie Sloan workshops, which are
held in the fabulous paint studio in The
Bazaar. The Introductory Work-shops
show you how to create distressing and
ageing techniques, whereas the Advanced
Work-shops cover gilding, decoupage
and stencilling with a modern twist on a
vintage look. You can also participate in
a Lampshade Workshop where you create
your very own lampshade, choosing a fabric
from the workshop range and developing
the basic skills of shade making.
For full details of any of the workshops
available at Asha’s, please call in at the
shop or call the number below. Individual
workshops are also listed in What’s On.

Asha’s is open Tuesday through
Saturday 9am to 5pm.
Mondays closed.
