Gastronomist opportunities

The Pop-Up Deli™ started by accident early November 2014 when Alison Trerotoli hosted a multi-level direct marketing make-up party for a friend in her home. Alison’s husband, Giuseppe, has a business importing fine food from Europe and many of her friends asked if they could try some of his products at the party. In three hours she sold £1,400 worth of his oils, truffle sauces, biscuits, etc. with orders for hampers and confectionery - it was crazy!

Friends were requesting parties from Alison, and she became delivery driver and party consultant, with no website, no business plan or structure, and no dining room either as this was now a warehouse hub! By January 2015, Kettering-born Alison made the decision to close her business down to enable herself to set it up properly, build a website and establish a warehouse for deliveries.

She also wanted to build a team of consultants - a sales team of ‘Gastronomists’ to do home parties. The launch will be in September. The Pop-Up Deli™ is currently recruiting for Gastronomists in all areas of the UK.

The Pop-Up Deli™ is committed to being transparent and wants all of its Gastronomists to be able to earn great money working as many hours as they wish while still being able to enjoy family life. Running a Pop Up Deli business should enhance family life; The Pop-Up Deli™ is all about family, starting from the producers and ending in the consumer. The Pop- Up Deli™ is NOT Multi-Level Marketing.

There is no need for Gastronomists to build their own team as commission (25%) is paid at the highest level from the outset. As food is consumable, customers buy again and again. The Gourmet Parties are simply a great event to introduce the items, the products will sell themselves.

The products are all sourced from small, artisan manufacturers, often still family owned and many have ‘Great Taste Awards’ stars. The Pop-Up Deli™ has Tuscan truffle sauces and other absolutely delicious truffle products such as salt, carpaccio, mushrooms and tomato-based products. There are sweet and savoury biscuits handbaked in Puglia by several generations of the same family, hand-painted ceramics and confectionery produced by a familyowned business since the 1700s and beautiful extra virgin olive oils.

The Pop-Up Deli™ recently secured a collaboration with Paul McCartney’s Meat Free Monday Campaign as official supporters and the first company with permission to use the MFM logo on its products, the majority of which are vegetarian.
