A Corby-based HR company, Gateway HR,
is offering free HR services and training to
one charity in Northamptonshire and the
surrounding areas, as part of its Charity of the
Year scheme.

Gateway HR was established nine years
ago and offers a complete HR resource to
companies across the UK, allowing businesses
to benefit from all the help of a HR department
without the cost implications.

Any charity is welcome to apply, and the
winner can choose what support they receive
over the year, from contract and policy work
to performance management. Charities that
already have HR support are still encouraged
to apply as Gateway can also offer training
in an array of subjects, such as motivating
staff, time management, and effective
communication.

This will be the third year that Gateway has
invited local charities to apply to become
its Charity of the Year. Charities that have
benefitted from Gateway’s expertise in the
past include Brain Tumour Research and
Support, Adrenaline Alley, KidsAid, and this
year’s Charity of the Year winner, IPSEA.
Emma Wynne, Managing Director and
Founder of Gateway HR, explains that, as
a business, Gateway HR are committed to
supporting the local economy, and helping
charities is something that is close to the whole
team’s heart. In addition to regular fundraising
activities the company likes to pick a Charity of
the Year because HR support is not financially
viable for many, but it is so essential. They
want to let as many local charities as possible
know about this scheme so that Gateway HR
can pick another great cause to support for
2017.

To be considered, charities simply need to
contact Gateway HR to tell them about the
charity and explain how they would like to use
a year’s free HR services and training.
