Ten-year celebrations for
Ringstead fitness group

2016 saw the tenth anniversary celebrations for Jolly Good Company
with a trip on the Grand Union Canal. Twenty members of the group, who
range from 65 to 84 years of age, joined the Mountbatten Crusader boat
from Gayton to Bugbrooke.

Formed in 2006, Jolly Good Company provides exercise and dance in a
friendly and fun atmosphere. The group meets at The Shared Church in
Ringstead on Tuesday mornings from 10-11am. Oldest member Eileen,
aged 84, has been with the group since the beginning and claims that the
name of the group is most true - keeping fit and active in a very friendly
group for ten years.

The group has also taken part in stage performances at The Castle in
Wellingborough in previous years and one of their latest routines is set to
The Floral Dance as their own special tribute to the late Sir Terry Wogan.
Everybody is better for the exercise, laughter, good leadership, music
and really good friendships, and the members feel fortunate to have been
part of this wonderful class for so long. The group also has a summer
and a winter outing each year, as the social aspect is an important part
of the group.

If you would like to join the group, please contact
Gill D’Hooghe on 01933 274011 for further information.
