From blues to rock, storytelling to dance, Oundle Fringe is a fantastic week of entertainment from Thursday 4th to Saturday 13th July. It takes place at the same time as Oundle International Festival, see pages 10-11, and nearly all events are free.
Other events include a ceilidh with Five String Thing at the Victoria Hall on Thursday 4th July; covers band The Weekenders from Woodnewton playing at The Talbot on Friday 5th July; acoustic blues from Oundle band TCDC at the Rose and Crown on Monday 8th July; a night of folk, country and rock and roll from The Kobras and Oundle’s Matt Carter at The George Inn on Wednesday 10th July; The Steradents from Kings Cliffe playing rock and punk at The Ship on Friday 12th July; and author and comedy writer Chris Heath reading to children and adults from his bestselling The World According to Grandpa stories on Saturday 13th July. Plus Crosskey Clog, Peterborough Morris, harpist Nick Penny, a lighthearted quiz, musicians popping up in cafes and on street corners round the town and more.
