Corby Outdoors Festival in its 11th year will be taking place from Monday 27th May through Sunday 2nd June.  A wider range of outdoor activities will be offered, including cycling and running.

The walking programme will continue to be an important part of the Festival itinerary for the week, and there will be lots of opportunity to sample and appreciate some of the borough’s beautiful countryside and urban woodland areas.

The Festival will kick off with a free Family Fun Day on Monday 27th May at East Carlton Country Park, 12noon to 4pm, organised by the Festival’s beneficiary charity Lakelands Day Care Hospice.  Join in the family fun with archery, bouncy castles, arts activities face painting, children’s rides and much more!   And if your dog deserves a Crufts style accolade, enter them into the Lakelands Dog Show!

Corby borough is rich in open spaces in the town itself and also has the magnificent Rockingham Forest and Welland Valley on its doorstep.  The Festival showcases the fact that you don’t have to travel far to get active outdoors and enjoy one of our parks or woodland areas, like the medieval Kingswood.  It is a great way to gain health benefits at the same time.
