For the 11th consecutive year, Kelmarsh Country Show is returning to historic Kelmarsh Hall on Sunday 27th and Monday 28th March. As the county’s largest countrysidethemed outdoor event, the two-day show is set to welcome more than 35,000 visitors this year and boasts a comprehensive have-a-go itinerary for the whole family including gundog handling, clay shooting, survival camp, field archery, airguns, fishing, falconry and ferreting! The jam-packed show also offers more than 200 exhibition stands, picnic areas, a crammed Main Arena schedule, children’s entertainment, food festival, craft and antiques fairs and live folk music.
The Main Arena boasts a colourful array of demonstrations and displays, including the hugely entertaining Lamb National Sheep Race, which always draws huge crowds as six Herdwick sheep tear down the track. Brand new for 2016, Kelmarsh is welcoming Europe’s number one stunt and trick riding team, The Devil’s Horsemen. Their breathtaking displays and daredevil antics will enthrall spectators.
The Kelmarsh Country Show is also delighted to welcome the Spitfire Aerial Display on each day of the event. This really is a display not to be missed, and you can even enter a competition on our website to win your very own Spitfire experience. Plus world champion fly fisherman Hywel Morgan will also being delivering his talk on fishing and casting. And finally, ferreter Brian Brinded will be heading up the demonstration on long netting and rabbiting!
Find solace for your ears and real ale-a-plenty at the free-to-enter Kelmarsh Folk Roots Festival. Located next to the Food Festival, where visitors can enjoy local produce and quality food outlets, all to thigh-slapping, toetapping live acoustic music. Back for 2016, the Kelmarsh Country Show welcomes a fleet of colourful hot air balloons over the stunning grounds of Kelmarsh Hall, with around five balloons set to grace the Northamptonshire skyline. The aim will be to have a flight early morning, followed by a tethered display in the afternoon and a flight early evening, weather and ground conditions permitting! Advance tickets are available from just £12 per day. Tickets bought on the day cost £15 each. Don’t forget that children aged 15 and under accompanied by adults can visit the three-day show for free!
