First in May, last at Manor Gardens

The Village of Arthingworth is holding a Spring Fayre on Saturday 25th May from 1-5pm. The traditional country village fayre has a long history in Arthingworth, but this is the first time that it has been held in May. This ‘first’ for the village will be celebrated with Braybrooke Morris Dancers and traditional Maypole dancing for children. Fleckney Silver Band will be joining this year, as will Bing’s Novelty Dog Show - talented dogs and well behaved owners are very welcome!

The Fayre will be held in the lovely setting of Arthingworth Manor Gardens, with thanks to owner Mr Billy Guiness. There will be lots of stalls featuring local crafts, books, preserves and delicious home- made cakes. Traditional games and family fun include the ever popular Welly Wanging, Thwack the Rat and Apple Bobbing. Children (and parents!) will have the opportunity to take part in the fun races before enjoying tea, coffee, soft refreshments of something stronger for the grown-ups from the bar. After enjoying the refreshments on offer, why not visit the clairvoyant or take the children for face painting, or to meet the animals in the petting corner?

The F ayre is a great, traditional family day out, and costs just £3 per car to park. Entry to the Fayre is free. We look forward to seeing you there!
