Andrew Martens directs a talented cast of Oundle School First and Second Formers to perform ‘The Last Laugh’ by Ben Payne in the Stahl Theatre on Wednesday 22nd & Thursday 23rd May at 7.45pm. Travelling joke salesman Bobby Bunting has his work cut out when he arrives in a country where laughter has been banned.

The daughter of Gilbert and Gloria Grimm, the country’s despotic rulers, proves an unlikely ally, however, when she rescues him from a hospital for the criminally comic. But does this fairy tale really have a happy ending? Or is the punch in this punch line not so funny? The Last Laugh is dedicated to Amnesty International because, for over fifty years, it has defended the right to ask questions.

Tickets £5 from The Stahl Theatre on 01832 273930 or www.stahltheatre.co.uk

new, staged, costumed and accompanied by a live band - it doesn’t get better than this!
