| May Sunday 4th May and Monday 5th May May Bank Holiday Opening Times The Hall and Gardens will be open on Sunday 4th and Bank Holiday Monday 5th May, with the gardens and tea room open from 11am to 5pm and house tours from 2pm and 5pm. There will also be Maypole and Morris Men dancing on both days. Normal admission fees apply. Wednesday 14th May NGS Open Day - National Garden Scheme Kelmarsh Hall is taking part in the National Garden Scheme on Wednesday 14th May. The gardens will be open from 11am to 5pm and normal admissions apply. The majority of the proceeds will go to NGS’ charities which include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Help the Hospices. Please note that membership cards cannot be used on this day. Thursday 15th May Painting in the Garden Our Painting in the Garden workshops offer artists of all abilities the chance to improve their skills, using the beautiful gardens at Kelmarsh as inspiration. Workshops with local artist Maureen Smith run from May to September, so you can even capture the gardens throughout the changing seasons if you wish. The sessions take place from 11am to 12 noon and 1pm to 2pm. The cost is £7.50 (or £12 for both sessions on the same day) which includes garden admission. Please note that there is a booking fee of £1.50 for credit/debit card payments. Some materials are provided but it is recommended that you bring your own that you are used to working with. Sunday 25th May and Monday 26th May New France Old England Re-enactment Weekend This year, Kelmarsh Hall welcomes New France Old England, a group of historical reenactors who portray the confl ict in Colonial North America during the Seven Years War in the 18th century. Come along and see the action from 11am to 5pm. Admission is £5.50 for adults, £5 for concessions and £3.50 for children (aged 5-14). Please note that membership cards cannot be used during this weekend.
