The Stahl Theatre’s May season will include:

Ernest and the Pale Moon
by Oliver Lansley
Friday 9th May - 7.45pm - Tickets: £9.50
Les Enfants Terribles

Inspired by the likes of Edgar Allan Poe and Alfred Hitchcock, ‘Ernest and the Pale Moon’ is a spine-chilling tale of obsession and murder based upon a short story by Oliver Lansley about a man who spends his days watching the beautiful young woman who lives in the apartment block opposite. Upon seeing her with another man he is thrown into a jealous rage and driven to murder, though all is not what it may at first seem and slowly Ernest’s guilt sends him on a spiralling descent into madness.

An Oundle School production of Robin Hood
by Larry Blamire
Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd May
7.45pm - Tickets: £5

This much-loved folk tale is reinvented in Blamire’s action-packed comedy. Expect a wise-cracking, superior swords person in Marian, and a Robin who only by chance finds himself a hero. True to the legend, of course, all ends well: The Sheriff’s sleazy scheme to wed young Ellen fizzles, King John’s vicious taxes are rescinded, the Sherwood Foresters are
finally legitimized, and a justice descends on England’s green and pleasant land. Hattie Hopper directs a talented cast from Oundle School’s First and Second Form.
