One of the fi nest stately homes in the country celebrated the opening of its 2014 season over Easter and is now gearing up for an exciting summer ahead with lots of events which will allow visitors to experience its history, heritage and stunning art collection.

The home of the Duke of Buccleuch is nestled in eleven thousands acres of English countryside and was recently one of the primary fi lming locations for the Oscar winning Les Misérables.
Boughton’s jam-packed summer events schedule includes a rare performance at the House by the Buskaid Soweto String Ensemble on Sunday 13th July, while endurance race Tough Mudder is
returning to the estate over the weekend of 12th & 13th July.

Visitors will also have another chance to visit the estate when the House and gardens open every day in August; while an open-air fi lm screening is scheduled for the weekend of 2nd & 3rd August.

Other highlights of the upcoming summer season include an art, craft and design fair on the weekend of 9th & 10th August, The Alt Festival from Friday 15th through Sunday 17th August, and The Greenbelt Festival over the bank holiday weekend of 23rd through 25th August.
