We have puppies to tell you about this issue. Maggie is our black curly F2 labradoodle (her parents and grandparents were labradoodles) and she has been crossed back with a lovely miniature white poodle called Harry making the puppies F2B. They should be curly/fl eecy and small, somewhere between the size of their parents. The puppies will be growing up in the garden behind the shop during the summer, so look out for the six little cream, apricot and black bundles exploring the garden when you visit the shop. More about the puppies can be seen on www.maggiespuppies.moonfruit.com

We know how hard it is to make ends meet at times, so we are extending our truly free range pork products allowing you to fi ll your freezer at a better price without compromising on quality. Opposite are some of the types of bulk buys we are offering. Beef, lamb and mixed boxes will be added to this selection come September. We are happy to tailor these boxes to suit your individual/family needs.

New into the shop are our own hand-raised pork pies, although we are still tweaking the recipe to make it perfect. Also new are our chicken and ham pies; made with the same buttery puff pastry as our steak and ale pies and our chicken and gammon pies. The pies are perfect hot with new potatoes and a salad for a quick and easy meal over the summer or cut cold as part of a picnic. Please do come and try them. Again, with all our products we are delighted to get feedback, without it we cannot keep improving on what we do. On the subject of picnics we now sell local county salad ingredients, pork pies, sausage rolls, homemade cakes and tray bakes. All you need for that impromptu summer picnic when the weather permits.

Enjoy your summer,
Kirsty Clarke
