Golden Anniversary for Kettering Bedding Centre

Kettering Bedding Centre is a family-run
business and has been since it fi rst opened
its doors on Regent Street Kettering in
1970, as a welcome addition to its parent
store and the already established name of
F L Caswell Ltd est. 1926.

Over the years, the friendly no-pressure
atmosphere offered in store and the positive
attitude towards maintaining a high level of
customer service has proved successful in
allowing the company to grow and expand.
With the Bedding Centre boasting show
rooms with upwards of 150 beds on display
and the Caswell store offering extensive
ranges on all other household furniture it is
no surprise that the two stores have stood
the test of time and found a place in the
hearts of many of the residents in Kettering
and the surrounding areas.

On 13th May 2019, a shock wave travelled
through the community as the
news spread that The Bedding
Centre had been victim of
an accidental and tragic
fi re, which sadly led to the
destruction of the Regent
Street property miraculously
without any fatality or serious
injury.

Equipped with a “never say die”
attitude and overwhelmed by the support
offered by hundreds of uplifting messages
from customers past and present, the
company was able to pull together and
was trading again within a matter of
weeks, with a modest show room stacked
with the most popular rangers within
the Montagu Street store. This made it
possible to keep any promises made to
customers that had been agreed pre-fi re,
while simultaneously giving the company
a platform from which to rebuild.

On 30th November 2019, after a busy six
months, Anthony Caswell-Jones once
again opened the doors of the Kettering
Bedding Centre to the public. Now in
the new location of 6 Newland Street,
Kettering, NN16 8JH, the occasion was
accompanied by a massive
range of price discounts and
promotions to celebrate the
Bedding Centre’s 50th year
in business. These are
offers that will be running
right the way through until
the end of February 2020.
