Sophie’s Attic, formerly known as ‘Elegance Found’, was established in June this year on the High Street in Weldon by Helen Clark and Sue Still. Having been aware that many people, including themselves, had interesting hobbies or talents but not the time, money, nor the inclination to set up their own business, Helen and Sue decided to bring creative people together to share their skills and products with others. Helen and Sue have links with many talented people who produce an array of items, such as a blacksmith who makes gates, garden furniture as well as delicate candlesticks, doorknockers and even a miniature Harley Davidson to name but a few. Other artists include jewellery designers, book folders, glass makers, potters and furniture painters. There are also beautiful felted items and unusual crocheted and knitted items on display at Sophie’s Attic and you will fi nd many unique items perfect for gifts, Christmas presents or maybe just a treat for yourself? As well as the items in the shop, Sophie’s Attic is able to source unique items or resources for your home or business, for special occasions or an event. Sophie’s Attic is also planning a number of workshops in the coming months; these will include jewellery making, furniture painting, felting and even napkin folding. Gift vouchers will also be available these. There are two new additions to the premises: one is ‘Alice through the Looking Glass’, an area with quality designer vintage and preloved Helen and Sue are always looking for new artists to fi ll their unique and beautiful shop If you require any further information, please contact Helen on 07900 330 855 or Sue on Sophie’s Attic is currently open on a Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
